I'm loathe to correct anyone's memory with mine being as unreliable as it is, but I believe the two albums pictured here were the ones bought around the same time as Revolver. The Herb Alpert in the post below was released in 1965, Revolver in 1966, and More of the Monkees in 1967. The Hendrix and Cream compilations were released in 1968 and 1969 respectively. This makes me believe that these two were likely the ones bought with The Beatles album. They were all heavier rock, and we were of an age where we thought we were outgrowing The Monkees brand of pop-rock. Herb Alpert's music was also pretty much on the back burner by the time Revolver was released.
